As a kind of important nonmetallic magnetic materials, ferrites are used of a lot in our life. Nickel-Zinc ferrites with spinel structure are a kind of polynary metal oxide sintered materials,which has been playing an important role in the application of high frequency in field of magneto-electronic devices. People do extensive studies on the synthesis of the ferrites powder has always been the main subject, with the development of the miniaturization and lightness of electronic devices, and the electro-magnetic properties of ferrite materials are also expected to higher request, conventional synthesis can not satisfy the demands of people.In this thesis we introduce the nano-technique into Ni-Zn ferrite preparation. The Ni1-xZnxFe2O4 ferrite nanocrystalline powders were synthesized by sol-gel auto-combustion method using Ni (NO3) 2·6H2O ,Zn(NO3 2·6H2O ,Fe(NO3) 3·9H2O and citric acid as raw materials in order to investigate their microstructure and magnetoelectric properties by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The average size of Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 particles increases from 10nm to 20nm. The saturation magnetization Ms of Ni1-xZnxFe2O4 increases first with the increase of Ni content x, and reaches its maximum of 39 A·m2/kg when x = 0.5, then Ms decreases with increasing x further. And which the condition of different pH in order to investigate the Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe204 ferrite nanoparticles’microstructure and magnetoelectric properties, by means of DSC、XRD、TEM. The results indicated that, the powder average size of particles change with the value of pH change.In this paper, combining nano-explosive method, the gel mixture containing RDX were prepared by thermal explosion to prepare the nano-nickel-zinc ferrite (Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4) having good dispersity. The products were characterized by means of TEM, XRD, it can be seen that the nanometer nickel zinc ferrites, which is produced by this method, must surpass the ordinary method completely in the particle size , the scattered effect, the ferrites phase transition. Nano-explosions of impregnated RDX de-agglomerate the nanopowder due to the highly energetic impacts of the blast waves. We applied this technique to produce nano-size agglomerate-free Ni-Zn ferrite solid solution powder with uniform morphology and an average aggregate size of 10 nm.
