The thesis is a concrete research on the vicissitudes of the reproductive culture in the regions inhabited by ethnic groups in our country. Based on the research results together with the in-depth fieldwork and literature study, the thesis showed that the forms and reasons of the babies’foster way in the rural areas where the Tujia Nationality inhabits in the contemporary era, thus leads to people think more deeply about the Tujia Nationality’s babies’foster way .Involved in the vicissitudes of the foster way of babies in Tujia rural areas ,the thesis gets the conclusion of the trait of the local people’foster way ,analyzes the reason of its change, together with the influences on the babies’personality, physique growth and intelligence, gets some enlightenment from it ,also gives some proposal about the foster way. As one part of reproductive culture, the babies foster way in Tujia rural areas can’t reach its aim in one move, even the modern society is developing fast, which can lead to the rapid change of the material progress in Tujia, it must have the dense trait of the local and it has its own stability and constancy once formed. People now can receive the modern education, make full use of the products in vogue, they are influenced by newest thoughts from the outside world, however they still follow the traditional way of their predecessors naturally and involuntarily when fostering the next generation.As mentioned in the paper, some improvement of the babies’foster way need to be payed much attention. With the purpose of increasing the inner quality of the human beings , the author thinks that people ought to combine the traditional way with the modern material civilization, take some indispensable measures ,create better environment for the babies .So suggestions must be adopted, all localities and departments in the local government branch must have the consciousness that it’s necessary and important to give publicity to the parents of the scientific foster way of babies.
